Developing an online store with eCommerce functionality is a time consuming and constant marathon of trial and testing. Once the basic functionality was outlined for TootsieShoppe.com we started to build and the hours of testing started. I have to add, this is a very unique product and I think we’re going to see big things coming out of Tootsie Shoppe.

Hosting an online store consumes a great amount of resources on the server system and the code needs to be clean in order to run smoothly. Security is #1 priority when conducting transactions online with personal information; an SSL and dedicated IP was the way to go for this project.

With existing products and the anticipation of new products coming down the line, we tailored the back-end to include inventory management along with order management giving the client an all-in-one web store. Adding new products and editing old ones is as simple as writing or editing a blog post.
